The Manor MUDs are four municipal utility districts (MUDs) in the Manor, Texas area that share a common water and wastewater system. The combined districts cover a service area of approximately 1,514 acres and are located to the north and east of the City of Manor:
Cottonwood Creek Municipal Utility District #1
Travis County Municipal Utility District #2
Wilbarger Creek Municipal Utility District #1
Wilbarger Creek Municipal Utility District #2
Wilbarger Creek MUD No. 2 was created on May 30, 2002 and serves as the "Master District" for coordinating the shared water and wastewater capacity and facilities, including a 500,000 gallon-per-day wastewater treatment plant. The Master District purchases water from Metro H2O, Ltd. and sells it to the individual districts.
The Manor MUDs have plenty of room for development and should ultimately include single family and multi-family housing, recreational facilities, and commercial, retail, and office projects.
Each district is governed by a board of directors consisting of five members, who are responsible for managing their district's affairs. The directors of each district serve 4-year staggered terms, with elections held on the second Saturday in May in even-numbered years.
Currently, none of the districts has any employees but does contract with third-party consultants for all services required to maintain their operations. The primary point of contact for any of the districts is their general manager and operator, Crossroads Utility Services LLC.
